Today, for Science, we took our learning outside!
We worked in pairs and began by finding a range of objects or items to draw in our books. We then had to decide which materials they were made from - with some of us realising lots of things are made from more than just one material! Once we had done that, we discussed the properties for those materials - using things like our senses to help us identify words such as smooth, hard, rigid, opaque and transparent. Finally we tried lots of ways of sorting objects into two groups. Some groups decided to group by material and others by their properties.
