Pluckley Church of England Primary School ‘Enjoying, Learning and Achieving Together.’

wb - 06/05/2019

This week we have started taking the Year 2 SATS tests. Therefore lots of revision has been taking place to ensure the children have the best possible chance they can at taking the assessments. In Literacy this week our focus has been descriptive writing, leading into story writing. The children planned their own superhero story, complete with an evil baddie and have started writing their pieces. In RE this week we answered the question: "Who is Prophet Muhammad?". We began by looking at the story of his life, what happened to him and how this influenced the religion of Islam. In Science this week we conducted a scientific enquiry that entailed gathering and recording data and drawing conclusions from this information. Our question for this enquiry was - "Do all minibeasts like to live in the same micro-habitat?". The children had to see how many of different types of animals lived in two different micro-habitats, compare them and then give reasons to support their findings.
