Caveman Day 26.02.19

Our topic question for term four is:

"How has civilization changed?"

To start our topic, we had a topic day where we did lots of Stone Age related activities. In the morning we looked at Stone Henge and made mini models out of clay. Next we did some research into how Stone Age people lived their lives. After lunch we got changes into our Cavemen and Women outfits and started the afternoon with a foraging game. This involved the children working in teams to find berries, fruits and vegetables that Stone Age people may have eaten - and then got to try them! To finish our Stone Age day we did some group cave paintings, where the children used chalks, pastels and marker pens to draw pictures of people hunting, animals and hand prints - just like cave people did.
